Connection to Injection Moulding Machine

Variant 1: Conventional connection

Connection to machine controller

Connection user conventional control lines
Process control using alarm contact and optional setback input

Two control lines are used for the conventional connection to the injection moulding machine. In the event of a controller alarm the machine is stopped; and in case of a machine malfunction the controller switches to temperature setback. This variant is a cost-effective security solution, which allows machines to be run unattended without any problems.

Variant 2: Connection to machine controller via serial interface

RS 232, RS 485 or TTY

Connection via serial interface
Operation and process monitoring from the machine display

An optional serial interface is used for the connection to the injection moulding machine. Thus, both operation and visualization are carried out from the machine display. Setup management, temperature monitoring and alarm monitoring are also performed by the machine controller.

The functionalities and performance of the devices as regards operation, diagnostics and monitoring remains unaffected.

The main benefit is the flexibility of the devices. Depending on specific requirements, it is possible to connect different sizes, with the quality of control conforming to our high and proven standards.

The interface hardware and the interface protocol need to be adapted to the applicable machine specifications.
